Dutch Games Association is looking for an intern!

The DGA is looking for an intern! The start of the internship will be February 2016. Apply before the 15th of December to the contact mentioned below. (Note: not a graduation internship. Research internship possible.)

Dutch Games Association
The Dutch Games Association is the sector organization for the Dutch games industry. Through contributions from members and partners, the DGA facilitates the broad games industry: development companies (entertainment and applied), knowledge institutes and other organizations who are involved in game development (for instance: marketing companies, publishers, software companies etc). The way we 'facilitate the industry' is by using an online social platform, newsletters, books/leaflets, informative videos, (international) trade fairs and meetups to inform, invite to participate, build and share knowledge and organize networking opportunities for the industry in order for it to grow and get to a higher level. The DGA also performs a task as coordinator for CLICKNL|Games to connect science and industry actively and collaborates with Dutch Game Garden(incubator), the Dutch Creative Industries Federation, and the government.

During the internship period, you work closely with the small team of the DGA and CLICKNL|Games on the positioning and structuring of the Dutch Games Association within the (international) games industry. We expect you to think and work with us on the daily communication through our platform www.dutchgamesassociation.nl, and in social media and marketing activities. It is also very important for us that you will proactively help us expand our community services. In this, your opinion on the DGA's position within the industry and in relation to our members is greatly appreciated! In a full time internship, it is possible to spend time on conducting research on a given topic (given to you by us or by your school).

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and creative intern on higher professional education (HBO) or university-level (WO). Your affinity with the games industry is demonstrable, you are well organized and have no problem performing your tasks independently. Furthermore you know how to communicate as an organization through social media and have some knowledge of website administration. You have a hands-on mentality and know how to put ideas into action. English reading and writing skills on at least an intermediate level are mandatory. For this internship you are able to be at the office at least 3 days a week, and work independently (on your research) on the other days. The start of the internship is February 2016, but the exact starting date is open to discussion.

What do we have to offer?
A very versatile and energetic internship position right in the heart of the games industry! You are an important part of a compact team of experienced people who are open to discuss strategic choices with you as well as help you perform your executive tasks. It's a dynamic, creative, but also a commercially oriented internship.

€ 250,- bruto in a 36 hour workweek.

Applications can be sent in until the 15th of December to Krista Hendriks: krista.hendriks@dutchgamesassociation.nl
