Symbid is looking for students joining our team to support our digital communications, PR and marketing activities. A commercial mind is required as we are helping entrepreneurs create start capital through equity-based crowdfunding, meaning anyone can buy shares in startups. Think sustainable projects (ENVIU), interactive book projects (Brand Expedition), clean tech lights for third world countries (Waka Waka), HRM software management (TruQu), developing your own app (SellAnApp), pervasive gaming (Lost In Time), Dutch movies (Het Bombardement) and many more projects that are successfull because of our digital communications input.
Crowdfunding is getting big. In 2011 the industry profits were approximately $1.5 billion and it will grow in 2012. And Symbid is growing to. Currently were expading to Germany, Italy, the US (2012), the UK and Portugal, meaning our team is growing too. We need your help to make our entrepreneurs successful. As a small company you'll attend to more then a couple of tasks and not one of them includes CC (coffee or copying)! Mailings, Facebook- Twitter- and Google analytics, digital communication plans, website visitors goals and more: we need someone with broad background knowledge who is capable of setting specific tasks. We need someone who is persistent, self-reliant and has excellent English and Dutch skills.
In return you'll work in a small and fun team, enjoy lots of freedom, receive a compensation, get internship coaching (we've had several interns before, one of which is now studying and working part-time), be aided in your research (we've helped over 10 international students (US, UK, Japan, Belgium) with their research, you can be considered for a part-time job in the long run and add a great experience to your resumé. We're located in Rotterdam, 40 minutes by train from Utrecht with a 10 minute direct tram from Rotterdam Central station to our office.
